Or schould i just throw the 8350 chip in this mobo?I will stay away from the 4300 then i just thought they might be a better choice then phenoms considering they are newer. No worries ill grab a 8350 or 8320 then....

The fx-6300 will show a pretty good increase, as well as lower power consumption which should make it easier to overclock if your going to.

oh yeah, gotta love those fps', picked up a bunch of games during that last steam sale that i've been working on(bioshock1/2, sniper elite1/2), i don't know how demanding the FSX flight sims are so i can't respond with that in mind, but my bros been playing a lot of planetside2/borderlands and paired with an asus 670 he seems to do fine with the 6100.

Not 1 complain about this chip so far honestly! Only thing is I dont really do any benchmarks and so forth so that kind of stuff dosent matter to me,if It can max out my games keep me at 4ghz iam happy! Know what i mean?biggrin.gif

Exactly the reason that for modern gaming... AMD chips are such good value and Intel chips simply aren't necessary. Especially considering they are unlocked across the board. This is unless you fold 24/7 and pay the power bills... in that case... even I would buy an Intel, haha.

I mean my 8320 @ 4.2GHz (slightly faster than a standard 8350) is much more than enough in all games I've played (even Crysis 3 @ max settings, no AA though). If my study didn't get so hot I would look into better case flow and get it up to 4.5GHz quite easy.

The 8 "Cores" also come in handy for 4-Threaded games when you're using other applications at the same time. Especially considering that if the new PS4 has 8 cores as the rumor mill would have us believe then you can count on next gen games utilizing them on PC too.

That and I have NEVER had an AMD chip fail on me. Even ones that ran 24/7 for 5 years+. Props to German Diffusion, lol xD. I build probably 60/40 Intel/AMD systems never had one issue with an AMD, besides some motherboards not liking the new FX's and running the incorrect voltage. I have had in the last say two years... 1 i3 go, 2 i5's and 1 i7 and that's soon after building them, have no idea what happens later. Never seen a Sandy Bridge-E fail though, guess you have to pay for the privilege of reliability. Much like everything else Intel. Although soon enough you won't be able to pay for a properly mounted/TIM'd IHS, thumbsdownsmileyanim.gif

I'm certain people would have contrasting experience, that's just mine.
