The DLC train for Sleeping Dogs chugs on with Year of the Snake, a story expansion due sometime in February or March. Publisher Square Enix outlined the DLC, which had a trailer leaked earlier this week, and as suggested it sees Wei Shen hook up with the Hong Kong police to take down the Cult of the Snake. The DLC features new abilities, outfits, and weapons, including tear-gas guns and electroshock pistols...

I'm glad to see they committed to the game and pumped out various objects for the layout of the game. They were right though, in retrospect. Paying for your DLC to expand packs on the game made sense. If you liked the game and the character base, it would make sense to pay into it and see how the story developed. I can say, for one, that the motorcycle and vehicle races were grueling, but they made a difference in the gameplay experience. There are new cars, you can actually use guns in the game now, and this just adds to the storyline. I'm smitten with Sleeping Dogs. So far, it really hasn't been a letdown, but then again, with a balls to the wall, planted deep powerhouse computer I have, there is no falter. I guess to each, it's the independent quality of service rendered and redeemed by the redeemer.

The only gripe I have is that you can't holster weapons, unless I'm missing something. Only in car, and you can usually shoot with a weapon while riding or driving.

If you have a gamepad, press down on the d-pad. That puts your weapon away. If you hold down on it, you will drop it. Not sure what the keyboard key is for that though. Should be in the manual.

and yes, they have pumped out a crap ton of DLC. I actually paid more for all the DLC then I did the game when I bought it on Steam this weekend lol.

I probably own the most games of any registered OCN member here, and then the ones I have via backup and TOSEC go up to 6th Generation and I have some of #7 for Gamecube, Wii, PS1, PS2, and have custom built gaming systems I can do literally anything you can think of with on this bad ass NAS of mine. My backup system just got pimped. I have 8 2TB WD Caviar Blacks running FreeNAS, and I'm going to be adding an SAS card to my system, and I'll be adding 8 3TB WD Caviar Reds, making a total of 40TB. I opted for an Obsidian 800D for my next build, unless anyone knows of more cradle space other than a Mountain Mods case.
