If you're going the route of dyes the only one I would reccomend is Mayhem's pastel or X1 line. Most other dyes/premade mixes have been shown to cause staining, gunk up your blocks, and cause the plasticizer on the inside of the tubing to leech off. Mayhem's so far hasn't been shown to do that and they have a great line of cool looking products.

what ever advise any one gives you only you can decide what on what you need or want. If you building a performance rig go for water only and coloured tubes. if you after looks go for dyes or premixed. Simples smile.gif

I was thinking using both UV tubes and the Mayhem dyes, that one for example http://www.performance-pcs.com/catalog/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=36303 is it any good?

I have never used dyes but I remember reading that UV dyes don't last very long. That after a while the UV reaction wears out.
You might want to look that up and check if I'm right or not. Or someone else here might correct/confirm me.

Having said this, if yuu go with dyes or premix, make sure to use Mayhem.

that's a matter of personal opinion we have got premixes with dyes (UV active) still running from 5 years ago and still UV active. Its all down to how well you look after you system, what the PH level is, what UV lights you use, If you system is not in direct sunlight ect ect.

I always prefer clear tube and UV dyes because of the looks. I get sad when a good routed loop doesn't bling with colours smile.gif
