OC settings

I was overclocking my system and I noticed something weird

At 125mhz x 32, my base clock sits around 121-122mhz

Is this normal?

Does seem a bit weird. Are you using the 125MHz strap?

Although I've not OCed the 3820, I have OCed the 3930K and had much better luck with OCs leaving the BCLK @100 and just using the multi and manual voltage settings. I also found that BCLK OCing tended to hit higher CPU temps than just using the multi.

Yes, it wont boot otherwise.

I have tried using only the multi and it does the same thing

100mhz x 40 = 94mhz x40

I would like to get it closer to 4.5 but I want to get this sorted out first.

Hmmm, I'm thinking mobo issue and RMA, but maybe someone will post who has one and can straighten things out for you.
