well, i got an external hdd from a guy, he told me it doesnt work
so, i believe its samsung hd502hi 500gb
well, here is the problem
i plugged it into my computer, pc detected it but said it needs to be formatted, which is unacceptable since there are important data, but i could see it between my drives
i thought i would try some data recovery soft.. i decided to try easeUS data recovery
everything was ok, so i started recovery
after one hour and 30 minutes, it somehow stopped.. at somewhere near 10%.. elapsed time was still going on, but everything else just stopped and harddrive started to do a strange noise, like trrrrrrrrrrrrrr
ive stopped it, unplugged, plugged again and pc still detected it, but it was not in my drives anymore, and that strange sound continues...
uhm well, did i kill it? or did it die before? and is there any way to fix that? these data are really important
