Nice thing if you log all the computers into the mybitdefender you can do start scans from the website on the computers listed.

Personally I've never used NOD32 but yes I've heard that that bogs down computers a bit.
Honestly I think that it's just a massive marketing ploy and it's not meant to be able to be re-activated, seeing as its automatically set up for auto payments I really do think that it's a marketing scam/ploy to get people to just renew it each year automatically.

Wow!! huge deal.. I've been using nod32 forever but at this price point i might as well try bitdefender out! Had a canadian price of 2 cents going for a bit... then it went back to the original $30 price. Then got it back down to .13 through the link but couldn't get the .02 again.. lol Thanks for the heads up

No proxy or anything fancy required.

Just go through the link as is. You will have a quite high price by default.
Go forward to Billing and Payment Info. Switch country to USA.
Now go back. Apply the code 2013-NYS if necessary. The price is going to be reduced.
Now you can finish the order. They don't seem to be checking address details.

Don't forget to cancel the recurring payment thingie in PayPal afterwards.
It's a lot better than MSE.

Thanks +rep

Well I just go an email:
Quote:
Dear Customer,

We have received your online order #******** placed on
http://www.bitdefender.com.

The processing of this transaction could not be completed, the details
you have filled in the order form are either incomplete or invalid:

...

In case of an Avangate transaction, the billing address as well as the
delivery address must be valid ones.

In order to finalize the transaction, please review your details
(billing and delivery) and reply this notification with the complete
necessary details.

I just filled in a fake american address, I guess it needs a real one?

Curious about whether my paypal will be charged or not since my order failed.
