question

This may already be answered somewhere..but...Why is it that all motherboards you look at it tells you max memory, then ( PC3200 ), as PC3200 in the standard, but you can use higher. My question is WHY is PC3200 the 'standard' for all motherboards?

I was just thinking about this, and wondered.

Well PC3200 is generally the Max Supported standard at stock. Any Higher at stock will be at default pc3200 Speeds usually you have to up Higher spec RAM.
