What parts to get for watercooling?

Thread Starter
I want to get the best watercooling possible for my cpu only, and I'm looking to overclock to 5.0+ ghz and keep reasonable temps. I don't really know much about what parts I need for liquid cooling, but I am looking to cool the cpu with a 4x120mm radiator, so what new case should I get and what parts for liquid cooling would be the best for a budget of $1000 before tax and shipping? I do not care about noise or how loud it is, I just care about best performance. Is liquid cooling possible to get 5.0+ ghz on an i7 3930k, or should I go phase change?

Here is my complete list for a build I'm currently working on. It literally has every single thing I've ordered. Obviously you don't need to get exactly this, but it should give you an idea of everything you need:

temperature wise, you will be fine but it all depends on your chip and your mobo. it's basically just luck of the draw but you should be able to although you will probably need a lot of voltage.

Thx, and what is the max voltage I should use for 24/7 on a watercooling setup like the one you linked above?

there is no set value but the lower the better. the higher your voltage is, the lower the life expectancy of your processor is going to be. for example instead of lasting 5 years, it might only last 3 or 4. i would try to stay under about 1.45 if possible but definitely dont go over 1.49 for 24/7 use. you should be able to hit 5.0 at about 1.47 but every chip is different so just experiment. also, make sure your temps are under 80 degrees under load

Also, how much tubing and fittings do I need, and which ones are best to get? I prefer to have clear tubing, with any color liquid, and which one performs best?

I prefer either masterkleer tubing (cheap and good) or tygon plasticizer free (pricier and good). Overall I think masterkleer is better bang for buck. As for colored liquids, mayhem's or nothing else.
