So What Do You Think About This Phenom II X4 970?

I have been tweaking this Phenom II x4 and I got this under a load.

It is stable. NB speed can only go to 2600 and it will not boot/post with anything higher.
So what do you think about this Phenom II x4 970.

thanks pretty good

That looks pretty decent. I needed 1.5V to get 4ghz out of my Deneb (its an unlocked X3 440)

Do you have an option in the BIOS to control the CPU-NB voltage? IF so I'd try nudging that up and try higher NB speed again, as I've heard getting to 3000Mhz can help with memory speeds. Just keep the CPU-NB voltage under your Vcore.

I have tried it and it is a no go for anything higher than 2600. I have tried up to 1.5v.

well thats a good overclock

You could try stock clock and push the NB as high as it can go. My 955 did 4GHz and 2.8GHz on the CPU-NB with 1.35v CPU-NB volts

Och that's a pity, still it's alright where its running at. I've got locked multi's so my NB only runs at 2670Mhz anyway, and I still get alright performance.

I think you need to use the Bus too: http://valid.canardpc.com/show_oc.php?id=2168265
(Northbridge is at 2700)

Pretty good. But mine's even better than Michalko's.

Mine does 4Ghz at stock voltage. 1.384v loaded up under Prime95
Will do 4.4Ghz for benches but isn't 24 hr prime stable.
I can boot to Windows at 4.6Ghz but anything using more than 1 thread under load will crash.
All this with just a simple Mugen 2. Been thinking of putting this baby under water biggrin.gif
