Can you help me with driver crash issue?

Hello, everyone! I have i7 920 @2.6GHz processor and gtx 295 video adapter, and 6gb of ram (700w coolermaster bronze psu). My driver is 310.70.
I played Assassin's creed 3 with no problem until few weeks ago, while playing i was send back to desktop with a notification that my driver crash and restored, until then this problem started to occur more often and became even worse when my video card started to switch its light from green to red leaving the monitor without a screen, restarting seem to fix the problem, but the problem occurs more and more often sometimes 1 minute in a game leads to the red light crash. This problem happens while watching internet video clips too.
I noticed that this problem start to happen when i tried to untangle the cables on the subwoofer with the keyboard and mouse. I pulled the mouse cable sharply and the video card turned red, the problem pretty much started to occur since then. Any idea how this problem should be handled will be appreciated, thanks smile.gif !!

Have you checked all of your connections, ie. cables?
Try reseating your video card.
Try the newest 310.90 nVidia driver.

The red light on your 295 might indicate a power issue. Make sure your PCI-E power connectors are fully inserted into the card.
