A A8 or A10 would be more then enough for a basic user. Though I would wait for the newer APU's to come out if you can.

I'm planning on waiting out till the release of next generation processors, I'm thinking of upgrading my R.A.M to 8GB and getting Radeon's HD5770, would this be enough to run Batman:AC, Crysis 3 and DMC: Devil May Cry?

Next gen APU's won't be far behind a 5770
There are two sets of APU's coming out soon, one in a few months what is mostly a OC and more gpu cores. But the APU's coming out late 2013 or early 2014 will have some HSA implementations built into it. If your more of a casual user then something like that would be great for you. The later APU I described should be faster then a 5770 GPU wise.

You CPU will still bottleneck a 5770 unless you have a pretty decent OC going on. My old Athlon X2 6000+ even while overclocked still couldnt push my old 4870 to the correct level, had to get a Q9550 to fix that. 4870 is about the same as a 5770 btw

I'm a casual gamer. I can wait that long. I haven't OC ed my processor, do you think it'll push it to correct levels, I'm also thinking of upgrading my processor to Q8400 or E8400. I feel spending more than this would be waste as next gen processors and gpus will come out in 2-3 years time. How long do you think i5s and i7s will be mainstream before being replaced.

Haswell is coming out soon as well, Ether a i5 or i7 version of that chip will easily get you 5+ years of use.

Intel will be coming out with Skylake in 2015. Should I stick with Intel? If I switch to AMD now will it be future proof and compatible with Kaveri APUs?

Ether choice would be fine, really depends on your needs. Skylake isn't going to browse the web any better then Kaveri will.
The APU will have a GPU advantage, but if you feel like making a gaming rig to last 5+ years A Intel Chip + higher end single GPU card will be fine as well.
Really it would be like getting a q6600 instead of your E4500 and a 8800gts instead of your 8600gt. The APU would represent your current system in that era, while a i5 or i7 + beefy GPU would be like getting the q6600 and 8800gts. Would you be playing games better on a 8800gts right now? yeah but would it have been worth the initial cost? depends on you

Wasting money is never good, I really wept myself to sleep when I burnt my DG33FB motherboard and had to buy this DG35EC, DG33FB was ATX form factor and had more space with 3 pci slots, while this one is micro-ATX with less space and 2 pci slots and costs the same.

I know someone who is selling a 9800GTX+ refurbished card for $50, it' saddens me when I realize that it doesn't support Direct X 11, all the processing power goes to waste. I want to run Crysis 3, would getting a mid-end Direct X 11 card be a waste of money now. Do I need to do a complete upgrade, I need to accumulate some more money to do a complete upgrading from motherboard up.

I'm thinking of skipping this generation of Intel processors(i3, i5 and i7) and buy a new one when Intel and AMD come up with their next generation. Can I sustain my gaming with piecemeal upgrading till that time?

An 8600GT should be around 55-60c at full load.

Can you take a picture of your case, and a close-up one with the 8600gt inside?
so we can determine what is making the card so hot

As for your other questions:

HD5770 is enough to run Batman and DMC at med-high settings. I cant answer for crysis 3 since I havent tried it yet.
But you'll need at least 4GB ram with a Core2 or Athlon II X2 at 2.8 Ghz to not bottleneck it.

$50 for a 9800GTX+ is overpricing when you can get a new HD6670 for $70.
Its a bit slower in DX9 but it has DX11 and more future proof.

Thanks for the info, this is exactly what I wanted to know. I can't post pics of it.
