Its because the cpu bottlenecks them.

I'm afraid to post this, you might think I'm mad about your 8350.

I have been under the impression that the GTX 6XX Series was not NVIDIA's High-End release, it was there Mid-Range release to compete with AMD's High-End 79XX Series. The GTX 7XX Series being the High-End release from NVIDIA that is still under debate about release date.

660 Ti is a Mid-Range card, I dont know why people would argue that its High-End. You can look at comparisons and judge for yourself:

Current Mid-Range Cards
GTX 660 Ti vs AMD 7950
http://www.anandtech.com/bench/Product/647?vs=550
They are pretty close to each other with the 660 Ti taking the lead in a few games.

Current Mid-Range vs Older High-End
GTX 660 Ti vs GTX 580 1.5GB - (its too bad they dont have the 3GB version of the 580 to compare)
http://www.anandtech.com/bench/Product/647?vs=517
You get a small boost over a single GTX 580 1.5GB(dont know about 3GB).

nobody is arguing its high end lol clearly read the thread and youll see some of us say its a mid ranged card.

The argument yesterday was people calling it subpar but that was yesterday today is about bottlenecks lol

Not on hand, I just remember reading the initial rage threads about it on OCN and other forums.

The funny part about you coming after me is my current gaming systems on the 3570k and 3770k are the first intel systems I ever built, I was AMD all the way since my XP 1600+. If software, especially windows wasn't written so poorly and wasn't monolithic, AMD's arguments about moar cores would be correct and accurate.

aye i agree with your statement. though its only a matter of time before moar cores will be the norm thumb.gif

Its a shame you went intel lol because all the stuff about the fx 8350 being is crap is totally unfounded. Its actually pretty decent in the real world

I was opposite to you i was intel then i changed to amd lol. though my last intel was awhile ago my missus has it and it runs perfectly still I t was the Q6600 smile.gif before that it was pentium 4 redface.gif

I can honestly say the bottlenecking of sli is unfounded. I know a guy who runs quad 7970's and he says theres no bottleneck.

theres another guy too who runs sli 7970's i think and hes considering a third to add

dont know what you mean about coming after you lol if its because i replyed to your post it was because you said no one posts aa settings when they say they run ultra so i answered you. thats all there was to it.

peace out

The thing is, you need to ask WHAT they are running on 4x CF. If you are running a 1080p 60hz monitor, put as many gfx cards together as you want together and you won't bottleneck. Now try that with eyefinity or nvidia surround running 5760x1080 at 120hz, and you will understand what the bottlenecks are.

I hope someday AMD catches up on the single threaded performance, or at least gets closer because a ton of software will always remain single threaded, or mostly single threaded.
