Am I "bottlenecking" anything with this build?

Hey guys. I'm going to be spending quite a bit on a new PC soon. I've researched every part that I'm listing, but I still want a few eyeballs to look over my potential purchases to make sure that I'm not getting an "unbalanced" system. That is, I want to make sure that I'm getting enough wattage with my PSU, that my CPU won't bottleneck my GPUs while playing games, and that the parts I'm looking to buy all have a similar level of quality. If there's something here you don't like, even if it's for a "silly" reason, let me know.

Budget isn't really an issue.

I do plan on having a 24/7 overclock for my CPU.

Thanks to anyone for taking the time to provide feedback on this build.

Nothing will be bottlenecked but you should drop the RAM to a lower kit or a 16gb kit and spend the savings on 2x 680's instead of the 670's. PSU can also go down to a decent 1000w, too lazy to check exactly how much that would pull, but 1200w is overkill.

Or you can also go the AMD route for less, and keep the 1200w since they pull more power especially OC'd.

if anything your power supply is overkill tongue.gif your system will probably use around 850 - 1000 watts.
what are you planning on using this rig for?

I'm going to be using this for rendering, programming, and gaming. I picked the 670s because I've read benchmarks suggesting that the 680s didn't perform much better for the price.

personally i would crossfire two 7970's and OC the hell out of them.

+1

The rig the OP planned is similar to mine and even my AX850 is a bit too much. I'd just grab an AX760i. thumb.gif

Otherwise, that is a smokin' rig! biggrin.gif
