i am testing at 4.6ghz right as we speak with 1.415v in bios and 1.392v on load.... with temps in BF3 at 79-79-76-75 i had to bump quite a bit to get BF3 just to run with no frezze or lockups i am priming 95 right now as we speak, its already hit a high of 87-91-91-88

Whatcha guys think so far any suggestions or ideas or comments?

btw everything other than voltage is on auto.

Leaving everything on auto is just sloppy. Manually overclocking your chip will ensure you are using the lowest voltage possible. Once you have found that minimum, you can take a step further by setting up an offset or dynamic voltage. Finding both the minimum voltage and setting an offset will help with temperatures. Begin by setting your load line calibration to a more aggressive mode and play with the core voltage some more. It's likely you may be feeding your chip more volts then it actually needs. 1.35 V for 4.5GHz is below average in terms of silicon lottery. Typical 3570K requires ~1.25-1.3 V for that frequency. Good samples can go even lower <1.25 V for 4.5GHz.

well thank you..... this is what im talkin about!!!!! im new to ocing with any other than socket 775.....and i thought this seems toooo easy............but i cant find too much on specific bios settings for oc's, all ive seen is ALLOT on AUTO...

when talking about LLC my setttings are the perf/extreme modes right there is another setting that is called med/fast modes i cant remember which settings im talking about but i will play more if u have more info into bios settings please let me know...

thanks.

You can use either one. Performance will likely have a small voltage droop and extreme will deliver as much voltage as you set in your bios with little to no voltage droop. You might have mentioned in previous pages but which motherboard are you using?

UPDATE!................after reading the above post (which had some good info) with everything the same at 4.5ghz and putting PLL down to 1.7 my system crashed in BF3 then i rose PLL to 1.715 and it stabilized it... havent done prime yet...temp running in BF3 are max 74-73-71-73 degrees...and 1.308v in CPU-Z
btw earlier i tried to lower Vcore and it immediately blue screened does anyone know what to stabilize it.....know that i know that most people are getting to 4.5ghz with 1.25v-1.3v i want that.....

i feel im getting closer from 1.332v CPU-Z to 1.308v CPU-Z.....................maybe if i can bring it down more i can overclock more.
