My 2700k Overclock Ability

Hey peeps, not started a topic for a few years so i thought id start one up

Got my 2700k just before xmas and been playing with its overclock ability.. Heres some results



4.4ghz Auto EVERYTHING ..... Thats the best OC i can get leaving everything on auto (4 hours prime stable)

Cinebench CPU = 9.48

4.8ghz

TurboV + .020v
Vcore + .025v
Vcore Load = 1.36v
Cinebench CPU = 9.22
Max Temp 65oc
................................................................................................................

4.9ghz

TurboV +.031v
Vcore + .040v
Vcore Load = 1.392v
Cinebench CPU = 9.48
Max Temp = 72oc

................................................................................................................

5ghz

TurboV + Unsure
Vcore + Unsure
Vcore Load = 1.480
Cinebench CPU = 9.73
Max Temp = 85oc



Iv booted up with 5.3ghz but not stable.. Im happy to leave it at 4.9ghz cus of the lower Vcore and Temps


What do you guys thinks ?

Added the spec in case someone asks

Aerocool RS-9 Case 4x 12cm fans
Asrock Extreme4 z68 Gen3 Board
G-Skill Ripjaw 2133 Running at full speed

id use the 4.8. nice temps and vcore smile.gif

That was where I ended up, too. Got it 24-hour Prime stable with about 1.37V loaded. It seems to be the best compromise between performance, stability and temperature.
