Hold on! There is another way!!!!
I had the same issue, not enough front 5.25 bays, and it took me a while but I found my way around it!
Here is a shot of the front. That is, from top to bottom: BitFenix Hydra Pro Fan Controller, XSPC Single-Bay Reservoir, (Empty Slot due to Pump Hanging too low), Bytecc 1x5.25bay-to-2xSlimODD/1xSlimODD+(1x3.5" or 2x2.5" drives) converter with an LG Slim DVD-R/W Drive.
You could easily fit an NZXT HUE in the bay I have "empty" without disrupting the pump, and if your pump is mounted elsewhere then it's not an issue. Also, the top bay is NOT "useless"; I have a 3x140 rad with push-pull fans in the top, and as you can see a fan controller fits perfectly!
Normally, I am not a fan of single-bay reservoirs, but I have an EK Multioption X2 150 Advanced Res that comes just before it in the loop, which hugely reduces any splashing/cavitation/turbulence. I will likely change the pump location when I get my MCP35X2-Housing (have a second MCP35X sitting around that I can't use bc I haven't got the housing yet), but for now this works fantastic!
