XSPC Raystorm 750 RX360 vs Swiftech H20-220

Hey guys, I'll be doing my first custom loop in a few weeks but I still can't decide between which watercooling kit I should go for. I've listed the pros and cons of each kit below, but keep in mind that my watercooling knowledge is equal to that of a 5 year old baby. I'm planning on watercooling my CPU for the moment but adding VRM and NB blocks later. GPU block is a possibility but highly unliely. Which kit should I go for?

Swiftech

Pros
- Stronger pump afaik
- No separate reservoir.
- Better fans
- Compression fittings instead of barbs and clamps

Cons
- More expensive
- Looks terrible
- Smaller rad

XSPC

Pros
- Thicker and longer rad
- Better looking CPU block

Cons
- Weaker pump ( afaik)

I think I've listed all the obvious differences between them, but I was wondering if there was something I missed? As far as the actual CPU blocks go, I'm not sure about which performs better, and I'd appreciate if someone could shed some light on that.

Also, one final question, would I be able to configure myself a fully custom loop for about 200$ ? with my choice of fittings, CPU block and res?

Sorry for the long post smile.gif Thanks in advance.

The Raystorm pump was revised (rev. 4) and is supposed to be quite the improvement over what it used to be. You could always just get the new D5 pump model. Little more expensive but you know you're going to a quality pump.

There's also the new swiftech H220 all in one using a modified M335 whatever it was pump and was made so you could even add more stuff to it.

Thanks for the reply smile.gif

I know about H220, but I really want to make my loop. I guess I'll just go for the XSPC then, seeing as how it's 40$ cheaper but with a thicker and longer rad... I could always switch out the pump res combo for a D5 later on if I need it, I can't afford that version right now.

The same kit is 189.99 on frozenCPU, but thank you very much for the coupon because I also need coolant, dyes and clamps so I'll buy them from performancepcs. biggrin.gif

Clamps come with the kit, then again I guess you'd need more if you're doing a fill port and ****.

Nah, I'm not doing a fillport, I want white clamps to blend in with my color scheme.

Also are the barbs that come with the kit any good? should I swap 'em out for some compression fittings instead?
