Hello guys and gals,

I am soon expanding my services to include web hosting, i.e. starting a little web hosting company and I'd like some input on what people generally want.

NOTE: I am not here to advertise anything, I will not link to the company site or name it, I'm just looking for some friendly input smile.gif

I've come up with 4 hosting plans and 3 different payment schemes. I would like to know what you guys/gals would pay for these plans.

The plans are as follow:

1. 1GB space & 10GB bandwidth
2. 3GB space & 30GB bandwidth
3. 5GB space & 50GB bandwidth
4. 10GB space & 100GB bandwidth

Everything else, things such as sub domains, databases, emails, etc are unlimited with the exception of addon domains, which I haven't decided on yet.

Due note that we are not going to oversell, unlike 90% of the industry. That said, don't look down on these values for they are what most web hosts offer anyways, only under the "UNLIMITED" marketing scheme, making them look more valuable. We will offer real space without overselling.

That said, the 3 pricing schemes (s1, s2, s3) are as follows per plan, in order from left to right for plan 1 | plan 2 | plan 3 | plan 4:

Plan>>> 1. | 2. | 3. | 4.

s1 >>> 1.95 | 3.95 | 5.95 | 9.95
s2 >>> 2.95 | 4.95 | 6.95 | 10.95
s3 >>> 3.95 | 5.95 | 7.95 | 11.95

Essentially they go up 1 GBP each time for the 4 plans respectively in order. All prices are in British pounds (GBP)

I'd like to know, which of these you guys would pay for. Don't be cheap and pick the first one, unless you really wouldn't pay anything more than that for the stated plans. Please vote smile.gif

And thank you for taking the time to read the long post smile.gif

Personally i'd say keep it as low as possible since you would have some stiff competition with the top web hosting companies.
Especially comparing to hosting companies like 1and1, netfirms, etc.

Even freewebhosting companies are out there too.

EDIT: Just saw the part where you are not going to oversell, so it's not so bad. So the first and second option would be my pick.

Since I already pay $17 for Mediatemple. I'd probably go with the $11.95 plan.
