[Game Chup/VG247] Halo 3 not coming to PC, but Dyad is

There’s a tool to check what games are registered on Steam. Well, it’s mostly reliable and has leaked many games coming to the service.
Furthermore, it looks like there are plenty of new games that could be heading to Steam. People normally use this tool to peek into the Steam database.
Some of them are games we already know like La-Mulana and Resident Evil: Revelations, however, Halo 3 has also been discovered in the database which could mean, Microsoft will start releasing older Xbox 360 games published by Microsoft Game Studios on PC, or Valve is adding support for Steam Community hubs for non-Steam games.

This would be pretty cool if it turns out to be true, Halo 3 is one of my favourite games and pretty much the reason I bought an xbox 360.

Microsoft has responded to the suggestion that Halo 3 will finally make the jump to PC with a firm no, but other titles outed in a recent Steam database trawl are still on the cards.

“We currently do not have plans to release any Halo titles on Steam,” Microsoft told Eurogamer, flatly quashing our hope

Rejoicing that a 5 year old console port is coming to PC would be kinda self defeating.

Sounds exciting to me. The Halo games were pretty good. I might snag this when/if it goes on sale.

I hope it actually is the game coming and not just something for a hub.

I remember when they announced Halo 2 for the PC... Needed Vista to play it. Let's hope they don't make this one the same way because I'm just not ready to give up 7 yet.

Games being made available on more platforms is always a good thing, regardless of how old it is or whether or not it lives up to your personal standards. I'm sure there are quite a few people that would be happy simply being able to play the game at all.

i believe there are people who still play Halo:CE. Brinign halo 3 to pc at least will bring some fun for the people who want to play it now or want to play halo without being forced to transfer to an xbox

I personally enjoyed Halo 3 a lot and I'd be happy to see it come to the PC. I only stopped playing because my friends picked up Battlefield.
