I'd be up for some Halo PC action. Still have the first one somewhere around here, lol.

I think that would be great if Microsoft would release Halo 3 and make it Windows 8 only. Not only would it help push more Windows 8 sales but it would bring a great game onto a great OS it is the only way to do it with Windows 8 Live integration.

I wouldn't consider it a good thing for half a second because all I see is Microsoft selling expired meat. Sure it's been optimized to run on your PC now and it's been given a resolution bump, but for me that doesn't cut it because at the end of the day console ports just take away the point of buying a relatively fast PC.

At the end of the day it's about the games. If it's a game that people will enjoy on a different platform than it's a good thing no matter how old it may be.

If people weren't going to switch to Windows 8 in the first place, than an out dated game isn't going to make them. Now if it were the new Crysis, Battlefield or another newer much hyped AAA game, then they would have more luck at getting people to switch. But even then it would be a far shot for all but the die hard enthusiasts.

Aside from that, there's no reason it can't be made for all available platforms aside from xp in the case that it goes with dx10 or higher only.

I would buy all 3 Halo games if they come out on steam, and replay them all.

Halo 3 + Forge + Mods = Win PROFIT

Loved Halo 3 I'd definitely pay a questionable amount of cash to play it.

If by outdated you mean that it isn't a crap cover based shooter like Call of Duty and its inbred brown-tinged cousins, I'd have to agree. Back when it was released, Yahtzee of Zero Punctuation called it "average," but his complaints kind of hinted that the game was too colorful and fanciful, and yet for the past few years he has been constantly complaining of the brown-haired grizzled protagonists wandering in their brown dingy worlds showing us just how banal realism is. Frankly, I could use some colorful.

And as for why I haven't tried Halo 3 in the past five years(it's rather presumptuous of you to try to tell me what my reasons are, by the way), I don't own an XBox 360, and I do not make a habit of spending hundreds of dollars on a console for one or even a few games. Buying all the consoles made sense when the industry was full of system exclusives, but those days are past, and the few that remain are not enough to warrant the cost. Moreover I do not approve of Microsoft charging subscription fees for what should be basic functionality. It took Sony long enough, but their subscription service has added value rather than holding multiplayer hostage.

So yes, I would very much be interested in a game I would have played had I chosen the XBox over the PS3 coming to PC, even after all this time. Is it a sign that Microsoft is finally taking the PC gamers seriously? Well no, of course not(they'd have to release the rest of the series, including Halo 4 to convince me of that), but that doesn't make the move worthy of disdain. This is a good thing, and I'll take it, thank you.
