Antec 620 mod and stacking Rads

Thread Starter
Looking at ordering 2 antec 620's an 2 of the brackets to make em fit my gtx 560's, how easy is this to fit for starters

Also I may have to stack my 2 radiators to get them to fit in my case, was planning of Putting them in the front of my case so it would go fan/rad/fan/rad/fan

Was going to put the first rad on the top card (as it gets hotter)

Any thoughts?

You may want to hold off for a bit. There's another OCN member who is going to try to install combo Asetek cooler on 2 video cards. If it works out, it is probably a better option for you. http://www.overclock.net/t/1353062/asetek-760gc-cpu-gpu-cooler-review#post_19169822

So let me get this right in ma head, the cooler he's using is designed for CPU & GPU coolong in one system, an the guy in the thread intends to mod it to cool 2 GPUs?

I will say your timing is pefect was just about to order 2 brackets(would you say it's worth still ordering them?)

Also which would produce a better drop in temp the cooler he's trying or 2 x 620s?

I'd guess that the cooler he is using would provide better results on the second card. I would suggest that you try to put the cooler in the front or bottom of your case. Stacking rads doesn't work very well; Martin's liquid lab had an interesting article on it.

- Yes, he is trying to use the CPU/GPU cooler on 2 GPUs. I am waiting for him to post pictures of the setup once he is done.

- Pretty hard to say but the 2 unstacked Antec 620s is probably better because you have 2 dedicated rads for each GPU. However, I don't think the temperature difference between the combo cooler and two Antec 620s will be that great. Again, all of these are assumptions.

Yes, It can be done. I am currently running two 620s on my 480s... They are quiet and temps cut damn near in half. I highly recommend this. The radiators, however, are tricky to place.
