[Solved]Looking for 50+" Plasma without all the stuff

Ill try to make this brief but this Christmas (2013) I'm planning on getting a upgrade to my current HDTV. It's primarily for gaming and watching movies. And I'll post what I'm looking for below, any help would be MUCH appreciated! THANKS!thumb.gif

Type: Plasma (600hz with .001ms response for gaming at it's best without delay tongue.gif plus deep blacks without having to get full array local dimming LED at $4k O_O )
Size: 50"+ >1080p<--
Brand: Any that'll last long. LG, Samsung, Panasonic, Vizio, etc.
3D, "Smart", Internet, etc: Seriously don't need. But if it must come with it to meet the best picture quality so be it. I'm 100% about picture, couldn't care less for 3D stuff or even sound quality.
Cost: $500 - Ehh... $1250. I don't wanna spend more than that really.
*Note: Plasmas are dim. I use an LCD at the moment with 100% backlight and brightness turned about 57%. That's bright as hell but I got use to it. After searching some i.e: TC-P50U50 etc. It looked perfect but noticed in review it's not as bright as the Samsung with bells and whistles. I'm looking for a decently bright one. So "google search, find TV, post" wont help me too much as I have used Cnet reviews and still can't decide thinking.gif
Uses: Gaming & Movies.
Room: Dark / Dim since I usually play at night. It's nice to know just in case I do watch during the day when my room can get average brightness it won't wash out. Ill take it if it has good brightness over glare since my room lights ambient not from a specific source during the day so it shouldn't be too much of an issue with glossy screen.
Extras: Decent picture control. Something Panasonic is not known for. LG seems to have great picture control but not much else in reviews (I own an LG and love it though so its whatever but would be nice).
Sound Quality: Doesn't matter, use headset.

So trying to find a all about picture, don't need the stuff, bright-ish Plasma to essentially be like a full array LED with dimming, turning off the led's for true black for those who don't know, but with the best response time for gaming and fast motion hz.

Thank you very much, have an excellent day whether you post or not.

My girlfriend bought this one just after Christmas:

http://www.amazon.com/Samsung-PN51E550-51-Inch-1080p-Plasma/dp/B007BG47IW

This one DOES have all the bells and whistles. But it's listed on Amazon for $700, and was around $850 at Conn's just after Christmas when we got it. 51" Plasma, 3D 1080p, Smart, Wi-Fi-Enabled TV. I gotta say, the picture quality is pretty sweet. They had this among like 50 other TVs on display in Conn's and this was definitely in the top of them with picture quality.

It comes with 2 pairs of 3D-glasses. I played Black Ops 2 on this thing in 3D, using the game-included 3D mode, and it was awesome. The only drawback to using the 3D mode is that the picture gets a little darker (as a result of the glasses) so playing online made it a little difficult to see in dark spaces. I had to turn the brightness up and the contrast back down to 50, and it helped a bit but still wasn't perfect. It was amazing though. Keep in mind, for 3D movies, you HAVE to have a 3D Blu-Ray player. I bought 'Dredd 3D' on Blu-Ray and it wouldn't let me select the 3D option because our Blu-Ray player isn't a 3D one.

Do keep in mind there is no Anti-Reflective coating on this. It's pretty much a glossy screen. So if it is going into a room with a lot of windows, then you might want to consider another option unless you can cover your windows well (wasn't an issue for us - 2 windows off to the side in our living room that can easily be covered during the day and face South so not much direct sunlight).

Samsung, from what I hear, makes some of the best panels in this size range.

+1 for Samsung plasma. They are as nice if not better than Panasonic at this point. They cheaper ones (~$500) at that size are likely to be 720p so watch out for that!

This is my dream plasma but good luck locating one at this point. I should have nabbed the one at my local Best Buy back in 2010...
