Or a short bus ride from the air port and then a 5 minute walk. It's easy.

Just thought, I don't have a spare monitor. Might just bring my 27". Lol. tongue.gif

Yeah, defintley. Multiplay LAN's are more dangerous just because of the amount of people, I had no trouble at i41 and 42 though although I know people that did. Depends how careful you are I guess.

I potentially have a Core 2 Duo rig with 512MB of something GPU you can borrow if you like? Prebuilt dell. Failing that I have a Celeron D rig that just needs a GPU.

I'd attend but I'm at university 230 miles away. :O

And even though I could take a train, my HAF-X isn't built for portability. tongue.gif

That case is big enough to just put wheels on and ride to the LAN.

Yeah, exactly. I really really wish I had a tiny rig for this. I'm gonna have to bring down my (pretty poorly built (by me)), huge computer. Only bringing the small monitor though.

Even a dual core mITX, stock cooler, £40 Silverstone SFF 450W PSU with a 4670 is perfect for a LAN.
IMO the Bitfenix Prodigy is still a little too big to be classified 'tiny rig'. Though it would fit into a suitcase easy.

Pretty sure some of us have taken £5k+ of computer hardware to events like this without a second thought, Markeh. If £500 of extra rare OC RAMs went missing, a lot of us would kick up a fuss.

It might help if some admin was organised, like the iSeries/Multiplay? Everyone's details in a database, stickers for hardware signed into the event, standard LAN rules (no speakers, one monitor only), bag checks ?

Legendary eh..lol. You should come if you can, be good to meet you :)

Someone can use my work machine if they like, it has a Q8200 and 4GB of DDR3, and a poor nvidia GPU but can swap the cards with our server that has a decent GTX460 in it for some reason.

All of our other systems are pretty slow Vista dual cores.

I have some spare 1.6v DDR3, would it work in a Q8200 system?
