Air Direction?

I'm thinking about rigging up a partial duct to the side fan in my case so that as much cool air as possible goes through the GPU the correct direction. Since I'm not great with words, I made a quick sketch of what I'm planning. Dashed lines are my plans. Sorry for the box GPU and fan. The GPU is a Twin Frozr R7850 OC edition from MSI. The fan is whatever the 120mm fan that comes with the NZXT Source 220 is.

Would this do any good at all, or would it be a waste of time?

Could also try an Air Penetrator fan which directs air in straight line.

A straight line goes right into the side of the graphics card. There seems to be a decent stagnant area between the card and the PSU I'm trying to diminish. I was wondering if I could deflect all of the air going in from the fan down into that area so the graphics card fans can pull the coolest air possible.

Build a duct for it.
