If I where you, I would hold off for a couple more months. Intel is releasing Haswell in 3-4 months and it will be replacing LGA 1155 and Ivy Bridge. For more information, check out this video:

Haswell has some really nice features that will probably be worth the wait.

There are some nice features there, but none that I will probably make any use of. But I was aware that they will be coming out soon. I'm gonna stick with the i5-3570k that I got for 189.99. I just hope that there aren't any really significant performance increases with the new haswell architecture. thumb.gif

Dont worry about Haswell yet, the first line of the new processors is always littered with bugs. Really not worth it until next gen

Micro Center has some crazy-good deals on CPU's/MoBo's due to their Lead-Loss Sale Policy....

I would highly recommend getting the 670 over the 660(Ti), as the Kepler cards' biggest weakness is their memory bus and with a 660Ti you are just further "crippling" it; 192bit versus the full 256bit of a 670. I can personally vouch for the quality of the EVGA GTX670 FTW 2GB cards, they are fantastic, and use the full GTX680 PCB (advantageous IMO).

i recommend the 7950. not sure if it still comes bundled with c3. i've tried it in c3 and it is so smooth. bf3 MP with your chip at 4.5GHz and the gpu at stock should average . . .

Ultra 1080 4MSAA with my chip at 4.5GHz HT off

Note your chip is faster than SB at same clocks.

not my highest oc . . .

OP the HD 7950 boost and GTX 670 perform on par at stock and average overclocks. pick whatever you like. for the GTX 670 go with MSI GTX 670 PE or Gigabyte GTX 670.

http://www.superbiiz.com/detail.php?p=GA-670OC2G

alternatively with AMD go for the Sapphire HD 7950 boost

I got it from Tigerdirect. Bought it at a local one here in Raleigh, NC so I did have to pay sales tax. Even after tax it was only about $202

Well, I didn't get back as much of a refund as I was hoping, so it might be a month or so before I can get my GPU. I'll keep an eye out for any sales in the mean time. If i see one or the other go on sale for a really good price, I'll probably just get it.

Wow, found a gtx 670 on NCIX for 299.99. Even though its a PNY, and everyone complained that the fan was really loud, but still seems like a good deal! link

edit: Sorry for the double post!!
