And what you use for controlling all your fans? With the mainboard software or an externel fan controller?

& how you made the bottom of your case red and the top of it blue? Looks rly great. p:

I attached them to the mainboard (the 3 XSPC 2000rpm Fans), but unfortunately they just won't turn down, not all fans can be controlled by the software. I would recommend a controller if the sound really bothers you. But with me, even with my fans blaring at 2000rpm, with the case closed, it isn't that bad, noticeable but never terrible. You get used to it. I didn't build this PC to be an silent office Facebook checker, I built it to ravage games and programs with great temps. My CPU has never has really gotten hot yet (even with benchmarking because it's so overkill eh-smiley.gif)

So it doesn't really bother me. In fact the GPU, when gaming, is much more more noticeable then the rad fans are. Also I don't want to have to take my mobo out to change those fans to a controller lol, too much work.

As for the lighting, I decided since everybody does the 1 tone color scheme, I wanted to be a little more creative. I mounted 2 blue cathodes lights on top of the side panel door, and the 2 red cathode at the bottom, the video card create a nice barrier between the 2 colors, making a Fire/Ice theme. I just Disconnect/Reconnect the wires to them, when I need to do work on the computer. biggrin.gif

Great. redface.gif Am I allowed to "remake" this with a red Fan in the front, a multicolor fan at the sidepanel and 3 blue fans for the rad and 1 blue fan for the rear? Would it make a great barrier, too? I guess not.. I would need blue/red tubes then and that would look odd i guess. biggrin.gif

So what would look better.. blue or red?
Of course you can make, If you want to. thumb.gif

What I did with mine
2 top exhaust fans are 200mm led blue (I replaced the black one)
I left the front fan alone
Power fan I replaced is 140mm Blue
Side 200mm Fan I replaced with a 200m Led Red Fan and removed most of the shrouds
The top of the door panel I bought a pack blue cathode light and attached it to the door itself
The bottom same thing but with red
For the liquid cooling on the top, if your doing CPU only on the rad, do a straight blue, if it all stays in the top side that is. (As a first timer I personally went with clear, but I think the color tubes look more awesome.)
If/when I do a GPU on a separate loop I would use red tubes for the GPU Loop. which kinda makes sense because GPUs run hotter then anything. If on the same loop, you could always have the tubing attached to the GPU red, and everything else blue. Rad>Blue Tube>CPU>Red Tube>GPU(s)*>Red Tube>Pump>Blue Tube>Rad. *If running more then one GPU you should probably invest in another rad to handle them.*

Basically you keep the theme consistent with the top video card a a divider between the two. bike.gif

If you do want a one tone scheme, Red with the Haf X is a Fantastic choice, especially because you don't have to replace or turn off the front fan to keep the scheme. I couldn't decide between the 2 so I did both.

Which cathodes are you using? Sharkoon/Revoltec or others?

I used Logisys, but please do not buy those. They are really bad. Not the lights themselves but everything else. The Mounting stickers do not work, it have some dumb sound reviver that is supposed to resonate the lights to sound, that also do not work, and to add to that you can only plug those cathodes in those dumb boxes (unique connection). And then power can only be supplied to a stupid PCI bracket that has a on/off switch on it that takes an entire slot on the back of you case (just to turn it on off, which is completely useless), and it has some dumb lengths, the length of the Light's themselves is very short to the sound box so I had to mount the useless boxes on the door too, but then the wire to the PCI hogging slot bracket that you need for it to work is long, and then the wire for the 4 pin molex is only like 1 inch. so you have to run cables in the visible portion of your case if you do it their way. Their is no way just to hook your Lights to the PSU. I have never seen anything that stupid before in my life. I had two sets, so two PCI brackets and a boat load of worthless wires. I just wrapped those things together with Electrical tape, and taped it down in the small space behind the Hard drive bays (where you hide cables) and ran the Light power cables behind the front fan. mad.gif. So please buy something else less terrible. To bad because the lights look good lol.
