Well said.

If there is one type of fanboys that is very active and does everything they can to protect their precious brand of choice, its AMD and Apple fanboys.

Other fanboys don`t ever come near to how hostile and protective those two groups mentioned are. Its like totally different leagues.

I would rather deal with an AMD fanboy than an Apple one.

I'm looking forward to this card very much. I just want a good single-gpu card that will keep me going for a while. I could care less about voltage lock and stuff like that since I'm not really much of an overclocker. Will prolly run some benchies though, just for the kicks. thumb.gif

A fanboy is a fanboy, regardless of the corporation they're a fan of. Nvidia fanboys are equally as irritating as AMD or apple fanboys.

Guys, please don't get this thread locked as well. hypocritesmiley.png

For some of us this thread contains interesting information and is not a playground.

honestly voltage locking isn't a problem if it's already running at a relatively high voltage. Some of the gigabyte 7950s running at 1.2v can just as high voltage unlocked ones. Plus because this is an underclocked k20 with a few less cores it should OC admirably.

I'm not afraid of anything being too locked down for me anyway but you're probably right. It's just that I've heard a lot of whining about voltage lock lately. tongue.gif

We have a stock overhere.
I just oc the core clock and leave the voltage the same not that I have much choice if it is locked

I have been googling this every 10-15 minutes looking for more news on it. Got the OK from the wife for purchase, haha.
