I think one is better off buying 3 680s instead of this (unfortunately) overpriced beast.

Problem with that is you can't put 3 680s in SLI with 3 680s.

Yeah I was a bit off here. It'll probably be like 900-1000€ in Europe and 900-1000$ in the US.

I always hated how things are more expensive in Europe, but in reality I guess it all depends on people's wages. If american people get the same amount of dollars as we get euros, then it is fair. But again I don't know what's the average wage in America.

I had the money to spend on an extreme edition processor and I remember when I looked into them in the past that the EE processors can be stable with higher voltage (overclocked more) since it came from the center part of the wafer. Is that not the case anymore? I will be doing some custom watercooling for sure, most likely a double loop. I would also think that the extra 3mb of L3 cache would help prevent bottlenecking if I got to run 4 titans. I am using this machine for a lot of streaming and video editing for my Youtube channel, so I am trying to get the best of both worlds. Is any of this relevant ? I would be 100% happy saving 500 bucks, I just need to make sure that it would be able to run everything I want it to.

3930K, 3960x, 3970x is going to max out the same on air and water. Ln2 would probably yield a little better results with the extreme. Its your money so whatever you want wink.gif

You guys really think the core clock will be that low? 732mhz? I remember the same was said about the 680 prior to launch, and we all know how that turned out...

I have stated before that I am pretty new to PC's, but doesn't it seem weird a product is rumored to release in 11 days, and there has not been a word from NVIDIA. My guess is this will be a march release and we will hear something in 1-2 weeks. My bet with vegas still stays with 6gb vram, March release, voltage locked, 85% performance compared to a 690, with the ability to overclock near equal to a 690, and an $899 USD price tag (healthcare not inlcuded...LOL).

It's normal not to hear anything concrete, and everything is a rumor until it's being sold thumb.gif

Alright. Since we have zero facts to go on now, how about helping me with my possible Titan buiild. As stated earlier this is my first build ever. I will be gaming at 2560X1440 IPS 120hz. Obviously with the 120HZ monitor I would like to stay at 120 fps whenever I can. I will list my previously planned build (670SLI), and just insert Titan in there. My main concerns is if I ever went with Titans in SLI. Now I know the PSU will probably not be enough but I dont have a problem upgrading that. The big questions is how would my motherboard and CPU hand Titan's in SLI. I would imagine I would have a bottleneck problem. Also would 2 reference titans stay cool with just air. Selling the PSU and buying a better one is not a big deal compared to upgrading a motherboard and cpu. Build date is March 2013

Not completely positive but I think 2x 670 4gb will not max out new games like Crysis 3 at 120hz. You might get 60 fps. You would probably need 2x titans. With that said as far as Im aware the Catleap 2b are unavailable right now. Only thing that is a 120hz 1440p is the overlord ones which are also out of stock. Everything seems to be good, good use of parts I would go for the Samsung 30nm mircle ram over the vengeance.

I know games like crisis and far cry I will get somewhere around 60, but battlefied and others will be close. With the higer res monitor I dont plan on cranking AA. There are some 2b's available right now, just not the pixel perfects. However, there may be an order coming in the next 2-3 months. If that is the case I will just hook up an existing crap monitor right now. I was also looking at the Asus PB278Q as an alternative if the 120hz catleap wasn't available. I just wanted to see if anything else would need changed desides PSU to run Titans in SLI.
