What I`m super curious about is
Is Titan part of the Kepler 2.0? I just call it that, but its architecture improvements.
If yes,
Then how much have they managed to squeeze out of Kepler this time?

Anyone remember GTX 480 and GTX 580 (both Fermi)? thumb.gif

I don't think it will as it is the ultimate high end second hand maybe in a year or 2 but why would you buy it then as the high end then will have the same power.

With a limited production run for this special card they will probably set an ordering limit per person of 1-2 cards. If someone could tri or quad sli/cf these babies, they wouldn't need to buy new cards for 3-5 years...not good for business. LoL

Also, provided the GK110 is only in the Titan card and that the GK114 is used for the whole 7XX series, wouldn't there be risk that drivers aren't as optimized and "durable" for the GK110 as they would for the GK114 ? Maybe it doesn't work this way, but just making sure my potential 3000 euro worth of graphics card is not obsolete from the drivers' side of things too quickly biggrin.gif

@RJT, precisely my point ! I'm willing to shell out big bucks right now for three of these bad babies in order to be settled for the foreseeable future wink.gif

That's a helluva good question, but I'd assume they would have good driver support given that even 4-5 year old cards are still supported by the new drivers released for later generation cards. Hmmmm.

It may be one or two limit, yep. But I think Maxwell will be a decent rival for Titan, so I don't think Nvidia would lose 3-5 years' revenue from most Titan owners. The audience Titan is marketed towards are enthusiasts who have too much to spend (or in my case, don't, but will anyways biggrin.gif) and want the latest and greatest. If someone buys Titan and is completely satisfied, but Maxwell comes out with even only minimal performance gains, many will still upgrade I think.

Hmm....hard to say I guess.

Maxwell is supposed to be the next huge jump in performance, rumors of double GK104......

I would be disappointed if Maxwell, what comes after the 700 series, didn't give Titan a run for the money.
