Why would you want a slower card...
I prefer the fastest single card

I meant lower as in price, not speed. redface.gif

Seriously with my sig rig I can barely play FarCry 3 max settings at 1920x1080 (Which still lags some) and to play it in 2D surround I would probably have to use low settings for playable frame rates. Isn't it time we get hardware that will let us play these games smoothly, especially since we are paying plenty to do just that (TONS more than the cost of a console)!

IF the TITAN rumors are true then MAYBE we can enjoy all the money we spent trying to play the games we buy the way they were meant to be played. IMO we should be able to enjoy multi monitor 3D at this point without having to wait years for hardware to catch up!

I just read this: http://www.geek.com/articles/chips/nvidias-2688-shader-geforce-gtx-titan-graphics-card-leaks-20130215/

Looks like ASUS will get my money this time. biggrin.gif

Why? its the same card and factory clocked settings mean squat, unless you're not overclocking.

Good point but in the past, stable overclocks seem to be higher with ASUS cards.

I will say this though, if EVGA comes out with a water cooled TITAN at launch, it will be my first choice. thumb.gif

You can't just make up your own Vsync, it has to match up with the monitor. Otherwise it's just a frame-rate cap. Refresh rate is Hz, not FPS.

It kind of sounds like it will be doing whatever people do with the Korean monitors to overdrive them to higher refresh rates. But Nvidia can't just send a 80Hz signal to a 60Hz monitor and expect it to work, unless I'm completely wrong about the way most LCD screens operate. You could do it with a CRT, but most LCDs only support 60 , 75. or 120, to my knowledge.

So do we have a real word on release date? I really haven't seen a true launch yet and some people say today, tomorrow, in a week...... When is it NVidia!?

Sounds like reviews are going to be up on the 21st, from the latest leaks.

I'm sorry, but this is not a helpful post. He obviously knows how to make it playable, but his system isn't built for "playable" its built for everything maxed.

Not because we can spot the difference but because YOLO I wan't everything to run maxed GNARGNARGNAR.
I don't even play demanding games but even the games that are not considered demanding can be more demanding than those listed.
