I believe this is what they call first world problems.

Thats for sure i agreed with you 110% there, there will be no progression at all...

But the technology was there thats what i was getting into it like the higher resolutions and the 120hz thing and all that..

For example
Doom 3 was announced running on a 9700 PRO then 9800 XT came out it run like the link posted (main reason of the source)
It took 2 generations of videocards to run the game the way it supposed to be played "enthusiast" standards..

Crysis 1 would be my next choice of an example... How many gens took? Even now a days still a demanding game thats the funny thing...

This link will speak for itself XD

Not so much.. I definitely wouldn't run 0x AA on any resolution. On 1080p, i'd consider 4x MSAA to be the sweet spot.. on 1440p, it's hard to tell the difference between 2x MSAA and 4x MSAA.

I would consider 16x AF an absolute must in any situation. It seems like many newer games have it forced on, but you get those rare few that don't even have it in the menu systems and you need to force it via drivers. Such a difference... tongue.gif

Lets attempt to get 2 of these Titan threads closed. Switching between all 3 is getting tiresome. What do you guys think of the new Viper? lol

Mehhh, If those graphs are right.. am not paying over 100% money wise for 30% performance with a bigger electric bill, heat etc. Fudzila is stating that Titan will release to market in a weeks time, so this will only be a paper launch..

If those performance numbers are from nvidia, then its looking really bad for what it has been hyped up to.

This most likely best case scenario

Crysis 2
Radeon HD 7970 GHz Edition: 68 %
GeForce GTX 680: 65 %
GeForce GTX Titan: 100 %
GeForce GTX Titan vs Radeon HD 7970 GHz Edition: (100/68)*100 = 147 % = 47 % faster
GeForce GTX Titan vs GeForce GTX 680: (100/65)*100 = 154 % = 54 % faster

3DMark 2013 X Firestrike
Radeon HD 7970 GHz Edition: 77 %
GeForce GTX 680: 67 %
GeForce GTX Titan: 100 %
GeForce GTX Titan vs Radeon HD 7970 GHz Edition: (100/77)*100 = 130 % = 30 % faster
GeForce GTX Titan vs GeForce GTX 680: (100/67)*100 = 149 % = 49 % faster

3DMark Vantage GPU
Radeon HD 7970 GHz Edition: 76 %
GeForce GTX 680: 81 %
GeForce GTX Titan: 100 %
GeForce GTX Titan vs Radeon HD 7970 GHz Edition: (100/76)*100 = 132 % = 32 % faster
GeForce GTX Titan vs GeForce GTX 680: (100/81)*100 = 124 % = 24 % faster

Battlefield 3
Radeon HD 7970 GHz Edition: 74 %
GeForce GTX 680: 65 %
GeForce GTX Titan: 100 %
GeForce GTX Titan vs Radeon HD 7970 GHz Edition: (100/74)*100 = 135 % = 35 % faster
GeForce GTX Titan vs GeForce GTX 680: (100/65)*100 = 154 % = 54 % faster

Far Cry 3
Radeon HD 7970 GHz Edition: 70 %
GeForce GTX 680: 73 %
GeForce GTX Titan: 100 %
GeForce GTX Titan vs Radeon HD 7970 GHz Edition: (100/70)*100 = 143 % = 43 % faster
GeForce GTX Titan vs GeForce GTX 680: (100/73)*100 = 137 % = 37 % faster

Hitman
Radeon HD 7970 GHz Edition: 81 %
GeForce GTX 680: 73 %
GeForce GTX Titan: 100 %
GeForce GTX Titan vs Radeon HD 7970 GHz Edition: (100/81)*100 = 124 % = 24 % faster
GeForce GTX Titan vs GeForce GTX 680: (100/73)*100 = 137 % = 37 % faster

Conclusion
GeForce GTX Titan average increase over Radeon HD 7970 GHz Edition: (47 + 30 + 32 + 35 + 43 + 24) / 6 = 35 %
GeForce GTX Titan average increase over GeForce GTX 680: (54 + 49 + 24 + 54 + 37 + 37) / 6 = 42.5 %
