Amazing that Crysis 3 is a AMD never settle game, yet even the beta runs better on Nvidia. wink.gif

This just proves my point that Nvidia has better performance out the box, with AMD I was always waiting on a new driver release.

Cards I owned this year 7870>7870>7950>GTX 650ti>GTX 660ti> GTX 670>2 x GTX 660

So its not like im only going for Nvidia, its just this generation AMD screwed me. I switched cause I hated the stutter issues.

you make it sound it is all rosy . . .

here you talked about a bug:

here your experience with the 670. what happened there?

My claims out of hand?

The first link is me saying crysis has a AA bug with the green tint around edges? Lol what does that have to do with either cards?

The second was one issue out of the 4 Nvidia cards I owned, meanwhile every single AMD card I have owned had stuttering and numorous other issues. Since you like calling me out, care to look through all my other posts about bugs on the AMD gpu's I owned? Lol I didn't think so....

I love how AMD fans...Like to mislead people. Acting like I was being a hypocrite or something, those posts have nothing to do with anything. lachen.gif

Oh and that issue was my fault cause I flashed the bios. lol

Personally I got no issues in any games as long as I stay away from VSync, which sucks anyway.

Ya its a beta, point? Nvidia still showing better performance......Not sure your point? We are less than two weeks from launch you expecting AMD drivers to boost that much more performance, even if they do Nvidia has same time frame.

Plus its a never settle game they should be ahead even in beta.

Yes I am infact because AMD is superior to NVidia when the drivers are working thus AMD is superior.

Now I won't deny that SLI seems to be superior to Crossfire in most cases and works in a lot more games but single card AMD beats NVidia hands down, no reason to buy those overpriced cards.

I also don't own a second HD7950 anymore, just too lazy to edit my rig, sold the other one yesterday because Crossfire is pointless.

We can agree to disagree my friend. although when the drivers are working tends to be a crap shoot. I was a 6950/70 fanboy last year but i just could not handle the crap crossfire performance, plus recent issues with AMD drivers upset me.

I will agree Nvidia tends to be on the pricey side which is stupid considering AMD performance on similar GPU. But Im willing to pay the premium for better drivers, better folding@home, Cuda, and once in awhile enjoying PhysX.

This last purchase it came down to I had exactly 390 bucks to spend. Since I plan on upgrading with the next gen, I was stuck between the 7970GHz or the 660 SLI. I chose the better raw performer. So for same price as a 7970GHz im pulling more FPS in crysis 3. Mission accomplished.

The only issue I have now is battling SLI temps. rolleyes.gif

If you want the best overall game play get the 660ti. Physx takes a huge part in Crysis

Wth is folding that everyone talks about? Waste of electricity and money from what I understood?
What are Cuda cores for?
Crossfire support is more common in games than PhysX support lol, PhysX is just a marketing trick.

That's why I said occasionally enjoy PhysX. Like in Borderlands 2, which everyone agrees was awesome.

Cuda is for programs like Adobe CS, and others that can be accelerated by cuda

Calling Folding a waste is insulting. I fold for my grandmother who died of cancer, so watch your mouth plz.

I already said we can agree to disagree but you seem dead set with arguing with me even though my recomendation was to get a 7950 and then changed to a 7850 with a better board. So not sure why. You mad cause AMD drivers suck? not my fault bro.

No, it does not.

So you are wasting electricity and money for some random research crap that you don't even know if it actually does anything lol

And well AMD drivers don't suck, especially not for single card setups. And with the memory controller fix coming up there is nothing wrong anymore really.

I can actually say I got first hand experience considering friend has pretty much identical rig to mine except he has the 660Ti (he is stubborn...)

And yes, when we compared frames in same spots in games (BF3, World of Tanks, Natural Selection 2) I got more FPS in every single game in same situation.

Well ok his CPU is only at 5GHz and mine is 5.1GHz but it doesn't make that much of a difference propably.

I can take some numbers up if you wanna argue more about which is better but 660Ti obviously competes with HD7870, not HD7950 which is way superior.
And even then, the HD7870 is cheaper than 660Ti.

false information rolleyes.gif

Crysis doesn't support PhysX

And many 3A games also not support it.
