660 Ti or 7950 for Crysis 3? - Page 23

I may be mistaken, but I am pretty sure the 7950 is a better value at stock. Even more so overclocked. I hear the 7950 OC's better than the Ti. I can't wait to see what it does on water! Should find out later this week.

EDIT: OP, add a poll.

Nvidia all around experience is worth the extra cost if you are sensitive to it. It's not just about raw performance.

I have seen numerous reviews now that say the best overall GPU for Crysis 3 @ 1080p is the GTX 660 Ti over the HD 7950.
but @ 1200 or more the HD 7950 takes the lead.
also means the 192-bit interface does hinder performance at higher resolutions.

yes an overclocked GTX 660 Ti can come close to a ref. GTX 670 while an overclocked HD 7950 can match and pass a ref. GTX 670.

3GB doesn't hold much benefit over 2GB, right now anyways.

you can't use the 7950 @ 1000MHz and the GTX 660 Ti or 670 @ 1000MHz and states that's fair,
the reason is that they are two different archs, two different technologies that operate entirely differently.

AMD is working overtime on drivers and now nVidia is no longer in cruise control because of it.

missing anything.?

With the new beta drivers (13.3) i can reach over 60 fps most the times. Great improvement, and its still a beta. thumb.gif

Ah, and if an OK is not enough i can post some pics when gaming with fraps. Just in case.
