660 Ti or 7950 for Crysis 3? - Page 5

If anything AMD always prevails when i comes to Crysis games. Look at Crysis 1. Nvidia game but AMD runs faster.

This too. And the game is _BETA_, it is in no way a real indication of what the performance will actually look like at launch, right now the beta performance is awful regardless of what setup you run.

AMD has sorted out driver issues since the 5XXX series.

The new 7XXX series is fantastic, and now AMD have targerted stutter and are offering Crysis 3 * Bioshock , no reason not to get the 7950.

It also appears Crysis 3 is now part of the gaming evolved campgain, so maybe AMD will get some decent drivers out early.

I told him to go 7950 as well, but you sir are 100% wrong.

AMD has had driver issues up until this last beta driver. Did you miss the 2-3 articles detailing the lag in frametimes? Also, AMD admitted to this and has fixed it in the BETA driver. Just because it is currently fixed does not alleviate them from the damage that was done in the first place. I had 3 7xxx series card and switched to nvidia cause lag was unbearable for me. Hope its under controll now, but I wont forget it. Not to mention the black/green screens of death that plagued the series for awhile. AMD's drivers are not horrible but they are definitely not as good as nvidias IMO.

And yet no one actually noticed the frame latencies even though they had been there forever until just recently, does that tell you something?

The single card performance for AMD has been mighty fine for quite a while now, Crossfire is a whole different subject though.

Are you joking?

there has been tons of threads on OCN and other forums asking about micro stutter with AMD. It was common knowledge that AMD GPU;s stuttered in games like skyrim. If some did not notice it that's good for them, but many of us did notice it.

Saying no one noticed is insane, when you can simply google AMD micro stutter and get tons of results
