3d Gaming on LED TV

Thread Starter
I wanted an upgrade for my desk and have seen this Samsung 3d tv. My question is what type of 3d do I need to make my radeon 6770 turn supported games into 3d, is it passive or active??

Well If you have and AMD card you need this
http://www.tridef.com/
And you can use either active or passive display but can I encourage you to choose the passive display. And why you might ask, well mostly because it has less crosstalk and glasses that you don't even notice you have on. Now there will be people saying that passive is not FULL HD and so the 3D sucks because of it but believe me that is not true. The loss of resolution is not noticeable but more crosstalk on active display is.

Now I'm not saying some nonsense. I have LG 42LM660S ( passive ) and I use it for 3D gaming and its stunning. I have also bought the active 3D samsung display ( S23700D ) and its unplayable in 3D because of all the crosstalk. So listen to my advice and go for passive.

But no mater what you choose you will need DDD to game in 3D and a 3D display that is not 3D play ( Nvidia 3D vision ) since you have an AMD gpu. But you will also need a better gpu because 3D usually halves your frames.

Although I have the equiptment for 3D, I just messed aroud with 3D when I had just got my 3D TV LG 55LM6700, But I think passive would be teh way to go.

Make sure the display you buy is HDMI 1.4a enabled
