990 mobo 100-170 Best value? fx-8150-OC/Radeon7850OC Includes funny story.

So around Christmas time I made a family computer for a family friends kids, I wanted to make them something that would last for years. I had the parts for it lying around except a dvd drive, so I ripped mine out of my computer tossed it in there's.. because really, how often do you use a disc drive after you install drivers.(Specifically your network adapter drivers) So I finally ordered myself a new disc drive at the end of December and just went with a budget Asus BDR drive.
TLDR
I'm installing my new Blu-Ray drive and while I'm doing so I am reconfiguring how I have cables in the case for better airflow, and I no joke, cut my finger on the board, drop my board, magically manage to catch it before it slams into the case even though that would have been nowhere near as bad, and rip my northbridge off my motherboard, oh and spill blood all over it.

So my rig is FX-8150 not currently overclocked same with my Gigabyte 7850 2G Double D, I need a motherboard that won't decimate my wallet, but is going to last long enough for me to be able to afford my second 7850, and probably at least another 3 years. I would love the Asus Crosshair but, it's more than a little out of my budget.(Doesn't mean I won't dream about it)

Anyways, thanks for any input guys. Also feel free to tell anyone how amazingly derp that was.

Mobo results(free shipping via prime, unfortunately they have a 3-5 week delay on the original Gigabyte one I decided on unless you pay 30$ more)

Currently deciding between
ASRock MB-990EX4 Quad CrossFireX
140$ Here within 2 days
GIGABYTE GA-990FXA-UD3
155$ Here in 2 days
ASRock 990FX PROFESSIONAL
170$ now this has a delay, and would take between 1 week and 2 days and four weeks and 2 days..
Really kind of like it though, aesthetically wise it matches the rest of the interior and exterior theme.. Not entirely sure if it's worth the extra money/wait.

I'll see your derp and raise you a herp. Built a PC for a friend, on a whim I filled the case with packing peanuts before I shipped it to him. needless to say it showed up dead.

I can raise your herp and tell you how I herped when I should have derped.

I was living in a super sketchy part of New Orleans and had no tools at the time, my laptop hdd was having issues so I went over to a friends house to get it fixed(At the time I had some weird Acer laptop with a like sata to IDE converter on the hdd to mobo it was absolutely bizarre). He can be kind of a dick at times so he wouldn't let me use his tools, I got into an argument about politics while he had my hdd out. He kicked my friends and I out of the house and kept the connector to the mobo... He wouldn't give it back until I conceded that there was more to the current republican party platform than hating poor people.

A few years later when I was out of town they took an axe to that laptop because we were using it as a backup for a friend and it kept screwing us over.

I appreciate the recommendation, anything slightly lower or should I just wait a little longer and get that one, I was using GIGABYTE GA-970A-D3.
I did my build on black Friday mostly and snagged that for 60$, I try to be budget but awesome with my component purchases.

Also on a completely unrelated note, I've been going through the case mod forum looking for any threads on using natural materials for case modding, I want to use my horrendously awful old desktop to build a media PC for my mother's family home. She'd abhor anything that didn't match the era of the house which is like Craftsman to the rare 60's garage sale piece that isn't ugly.

I was thinking Stained Glass or reclaimed materials(most likely wood) from the local Habitat for Humanity.

Reviews are good, and it is a full-featured 990fx board. With 2 x 16 PCIe.

Shop around for sure, never know what you'll find.

I have always wanted to build a case out of daguerreotype negatives. Obviously ones too faded to be useful.

Maybe you could find an old 50 - 60's era bake-lite radio...
