GTX 660 Ti 2GB vs HD7950 3GB (can I please get a simple answer) - Page 4

660ti is equal to the new 7870 LE Tahiti. 7950 is comparable to the GTX 670. So if you're looking at 7950 or 660 ti go for the 7950 100%.

Back to the red zone, hope I won't regret it as I did with HD4850, which was pain in the ass; 60 degrees C at idle and up to 100 on load. Fan was making unbearable noises who-let-rip-smiley.png

Noise will not be a problem. I use the stock fan curve, in the 30-40% range you cant hear it over my 1100rpm case fans. Once it gets hear 50% you can hear it but its quiet. 100% is vaccuum cleaner loud, but unneeded. Max temp at 1ghz core is 62c at 47% fan speed while running Kombustor. Highest Ive had it was 1080mhz on the stock voltage of 1.086.

How a company can spend billions on product development and can't even make it work properly in this day and age is beyond me.

Don't get a 660ti what ever you do. 670 is the one to get. But honestly I'd wait for the new generation.

Same as the microstuttering, general "crappy driver issues" are not even close to across the board. I have owned many ATI cards starting with a 9800 Pro (with the occasional NV card thrown in) and have NEVER experienced any obvious driver-related issues. I am sorry about your bad experience but inferring that anyone who runs an AMD card will definitely experience the same and have a subpar experience compared to the NV drivers is simply false (and total FUD).

look we all know gtx cards are much better than radeons. ha ha.

I'm just telling you what's all over the Internet. nvidia command a price premium for a reason. People know that their cards are going to work. They are so confident that they even allow editing to their drivers using nvidia inspector. same can't be said for radeons. was it not that the radeons couldn't even run dx9 games without issues recently? seriously
