Need a new headset, any suggestions?

I have no spending limit, but want something thats not to overpriced, extremely comfy, the best sound quality, the best mic, very durable.

Ive heard alot about ASTRO headsets, but the A50 is a bit overpriced, im not opposed to it, but ive heard mixed reviews. Im basically looking for someone who really has some insight into headsets that can be used for pc gaming primarily.

What's really your budget, you can get a much better set of headphones and a clip on mic for the money. Also, what sound card do you currently have?

You can spend up 2K on headphones if you have no budget.

Do you like closed headphones that don't leak sound or does sound isolation not matter to you?

Really my budget? I would say $315 is the max i really want to spend. I dont care about sound isolation really, but comfort for many hours of game play is huge for me.

Soundcard: soundblaster xfi titanium (old version)

Without an amp it's hard to suggest anything. With an amp I would suggest the AKG Q701 or K701/K702 but I would be lying if I thought they were really comfortable. Another comfortable option would be the Hifiman HE-300s with a Fiio amp (Fiio E9 or E11) and a Mod Mic.

The only actual headset I can recommend is the Sennheiser PC360 but there are better options imo.

Another option is a pair of HD650 or HD600s used off of amazon but you will again, need an amp and the mic.

Actually, just read through this thread, it's extremely helpful.

It leaves you with 15 dollars for a mic. I am not really familiar with mics, so I will leave that up to someone else.

The AD900x is very open, light, and comfortable. Great for super long gaming sessions.

I Will second that suggestion, while I have yet to hear them personally, I have heard some great things about them.

For $100 there are several much better options than what Logitech has to offer. You were unfortunately a victim of good marketing.

What kind of gaming you like? you need pinpoint accuracy? when it comes to mics, the Ant lion mic is very recommended.

............no. You like them for now. Once your battery dies in a few months, figure out RMA is hell on earth, and buy better headphones, then you will hate anything that has the name logitech and makes noise.
