Will this be any better? It comes with the HDD already and has an updated processor, do both the processor have the same L2 and L3 cache? I could find the L3 but not the L2

That motherboard has not been discontinued... nor have any of the other parts so I don't know where you're pulling your info from. Also, where does it say any of those items in the bundle are refurbished? I'm just confused, that's all...

The motherboard in the system you just linked to has been discontinued, however.. but I don't know why you're so concerned about that.

The processor in the bundle you linked to will be very slightly faster than the i3 in the system I linked to.

That Asus motherboard has far less features than the Gigabyte does, however. The chipset on the Gigabyte is Z77, the Asus is H61. The Gigabyte can take 32 GB of RAM the Asus can take 16 GB - still plenty I'm sure. The Gigabyte has SATA III ports, the ASUS only has SATA II. The Gigabyte has six USB ports, two are 3.0 - The Asus has only four 2.0 ports. Something to consider. I'd pay for the system I linked to and just add a HDD because he'd have a better upgrade path with the Z77 Gigabyte board. That Asus board is a dead end.

Thanks, the only thing I would change on that would be to get an amd apu on there and then change the graphics card to something compatible with the integrated for some hybrid crossfire awesomeness.

Oh, sorry, I wasn't referring to you, there was somebody that linked me to different parts that had either been discontinued, or were refurbished/open box, you didn't have any of that.

I don't get the problem. If you were replying to me (not sure about that), I linked a component for everything you need in the tower...
