Interesting... so Microsoft is doing the same thing to Windows as they are to Office. One standalone version, which is one time cost with slower updates, and a cloud based version with a subscription cost and more frequent updates.

I got it for $15 since I bought my gaming laptop last September. I tired it for a few days and re imaged my laptop back to 7 from my back up I made prior to installing Windows 8. I really liked most aspects, including the ribbon menus and they also made a few other needed upgrades. But I just could not stand the new start menu on my laptop. I would like it on a tablet though.

i think the refresh/reset pc feature is neat from an IT perspective. It would solve a lot of the whole "my computer is slow" complaints.
