From Multimedia to Passive worth it?

I currently have these Logitech Z4s and I am looking to change over to a passive/bookshelf system as I bought these before I really got into computing.

I was thinking a pair of entry level bookshelf speakers below and a 2x 30w amp.

My issue is with the bass. How is the bass on bookshelf speakers? Might be silly but will coming from a multimedia setup that has a dedicated sub, will I find the bass lacking in a set of bookshelves? I'm not an audiophile by any means, but I can appreciate good sound.

Or maybe I should just stick with what I have.

Check these out http://www.parts-express.com/pe/showdetl.cfm?partnumber=300-652

I think you'll find the increase in overall audio quality is worth a small loss in sub-bass for now. The larger woofers will do well, but you might miss that sub 50hz rumble. I actually used those Z4 for 4 years until I upgraded to a passive setup using a pair of older speakers with 10" woofers and they were a nice improvement. Used vintage speakers would be another thing to check out.

Thanks for that link! What have I got to lose at $30? And after further research, it really does seem these Daytons are the best for the price.
