Are you sure you're playing the DayZ+ mod? It doesn't actually make loot more rare, it just makes it harder to find military loot. The basics are still rather easy to find like the Remington, Double Barrel, AKs, etc. If you're using DayZ commander, you would know if you installed DayZ+ since it's in the list of mods in the update/install tab. It's not automatically installed when you install the vanilla mod.

As far as servers go, I would point you towards some good ones but my desktop is currently in a different state. I know of one vanilla server that does have decent starting gear, but it's usually heavily populated. If you don't mind that, I can give you the name of the server.

Yeah, I looked at what I had installed via DayZ Commander and it has the DayZ+ on it. The website for DayZ+ says that zombies are more aware and will spot you easier...that was the issue. most every building had a zombie near it. Some times I could throw cans to move them away and get inside, but most often even doing that resulted in me getting killed. Heh, I am not sure how a person is supposed to play it.

Oh I didn't know they upped the awareness level of the Zombies in +, seems silly. They already have super hearing from the normal Arma2 AI. I thought they just limited loot and increased zombie population.

There are 2 zombies spawns. Loot spawns and player spawns. If you shoot and "attract" zombies these are player spawned and the moment you log off they all delete.

Standalone apparently fixes this issue as everything is server spawned, meaning it is present before the player is. Currently nothing is present until the player is. Waiting for spawns sucks tongue.gif

If I can find the post (I think it may have been on twitter) I'll post it, but it is something Rocket is looking into.
