yeah, the prices here are just crazy... i also want a up7 z77 and the equivalent z87 (rumored chipset for haswell) for benching. lucky i have some friends in the US who would buy and ship to me if it works out cheaper. 0% import tax here on computer parts for personal use smile.gif

Nice!!!!

I think the only reason I didn't get a UP7 was cause it wouldn't match my color scheme ! Build looks really good man, you should be able to get a nice clock on that 2550 with it too biggrin.gif

Waiting for thread to be cleaned up. I see the thread following the rails off a cliff and being locked if its not. OP that board is sick and there is nothing wrong with your processor choice. Its still by todays standards very strong as sandy tends to overclock higher, aside from delidding ivy so its a wash in performance. The 10% increase in speed that ivy offered in ipc, compute and memory is negated by its horrendous heat numbers as intel attempted to make x79 worth the extra coin and using tim instead of solder. A 4.5ghz ivy = 4.7ghz sandy which isn't a stretch for sandy on air.

Thanks for the support on my CPU choice,I love it so far ,and yes the board is beautiful (main reason why i got it) If the thread gets locked I had nothing to do with it so well see.

Yeah, it's not hard to get to 4.5. It only took me an hours to find a stable voltage. I never did a full 12 hour prime test, due to temperatures, unfortunately.

The UP7 is a phenomenal board. At least you'll know your overclock will never be board limited. thumb.gif

Besides, you'll probably end up using it in other builds once you upgrade your main one.

And you guys arguing (or yelling) about PWMs, doublers, quadruplers or whatever - please start your own thread. It's disrespectful to the OP and all you're doing is feeding your e-Ego. Let it go.
