My ide backup drive slows my raid down:(

O-K,Here's the Problem-
I've got 4 sata150 WD drives(80 gig) in raid 0 and they bench at over 180000 in sandra.
The problem is when I put a IDE drive(250 gig) it slows the raid down to 50000 ish.
I have tried all jumper settings (I think so anyway...) and no results...The cdrom drive that is on ide dosent seem to matter though-
I also tried raid 0 with 3 drives with the 4th sata port going for backup(or whatever) drive and same thing.
M/B is a DFI nf4ud and raid is via nvraid.
Any body know any tricks !!!

I have it fixed now, the latest DFI bios with the more up to date raid bios did it....I was running a "trick"modded bios before and the earlyer raid bios in that bios seems to be the culprit.....
Bios Anyone..
