your sig has another case listed, you are moving to the P180? If so...
The Fan guard is the largest offender. Air moving through that area sounds like a "whooshing" sound. You can take a dremel to it and remove the grill.
Additionally relocating your HDD(s) to the lower bay and removing the upper drive bay cage entirely will help with airflow - tremendously.
In the end you will have to experiment. No theory survives intact when moving from paper to actuality - no offense, it's reality.
Sounds like you got something good cookin'
I'm going to mount a Hard Drive Silencer and that makes the HDD fit in a 5.25" bay, so I can remove all of the Hard Drive slots in the P180, also, I'm going to use my brother's dremel to remove all of the fan grills. Lastly, I'm going to take off the fan filters for the two front fans. This should dramatically improve temps. My only question is will my Hard Drive fit in a 5.25" bay? I mean will all the wires reach, will it work fine, will it interfere with other components, anything like that? Also, I'm going to be using a sleeving kit and I will setup my rig so that most of the extra wiring will be in the top 5.25" slots or behind my motherboard
