PenTile isn't as good as a normal RGB stripe. Technically it is inferior, however at such high pixel densities the main issue -- that is, less sharpness -- shouldn't be noticeable at all. And I'm sure I've heard some members complaining about a slightly greener tint; I've been told otherwise here just recently, but it keeps popping up in my head. EDIT: The trade off to this is it's easier to use higher resolutions, and the brightness can be higher with the same power consumption.Originally Posted by Rubers

The OneX uses an IPS panel and I can't tell the difference between it to the naked eye, and neither can my friend who owns the OneX. I think you're under the placebo effect due to the bad rep PenTile got on lower quality and resolution displays. There is no noticable difference, and if you think you cna tell, then you need to unlodge the microscope from your eye socket.
Then again, you've already been clear on your dislike for the SGS3, so there's no point attempting to reason or discuss this with you.

Anyway you need to take into account that everyone has different levels of vision. Some have good overall vision, some have great vision close up but only decent or poor vision far away, or great vision far away but only decent or poor vision close up. So it's possible for someone else to see something you don't, or visa versa.
