Help me complete my first water loop, please

Thread Starter
So I bought a XSPC X20 750 v2 res/pump and a Swiftech 240mm QP radiator with built-in reservoir from a member here on OCN for $60. I did a little research on both, it looks like since the only way I can mount the rad is horizontally in my case (Rosewill Blackhawk Mid Tower), I wont be able to take advantage of the radiator's res. It will still work though right?

Also I know I need a CPU block and some fittings, but which ones should I get? I see some solid deals in the marketplace right now. I'm hoping to complete my loop for under $100.

1) Which block should I get?
2) What size fittings and tubing do you recommend?
3) Since I can't use the res in my radiator should I get a different one or will it still work fine?
4) I was going to use distilled water, do I need a biocide? Which one?

This will be my first custom loop. Any help is appreciated, thank you in advance.

That's a picture of the radiator, I think most of you know what the X20 750 is/looks like. I got that picture from the guy who I bought it from, wont get the parts until tomorrow.

What's right for me may not be right for you. I would recommend looking at some comparisons between different blocks and deciding what kind of performance you are willing to pay for. You said your pump has a res? If so, it shouldn't matter if you can't use the one on your radiator. As far as a biocide, silver kill coils are cheap, available, and highly recommended. There are liquids if you prefer them, but results are more varied and I have no personal experience with them.
