XSPC Twin D5 res/pump doesn't appear to be working..

Am I doing something wrong? I've filled the res all the way to the top, hooked up the pumps molex to a power supply and when I turn it on the pumps make a very loud screeching sound and no water is moving. It's acting as if there is no water in the res at all.

The In is going down into a rad and the Out is going horizontally into a CPU block. Are these just bad pumps?

Here is a video

I have this power supply hooked up to it (only powering the pump, nothing else).

I don't need to have the tacho wires hooked up right?

That sounds like a destroyed pump to me. The impeller is hitting the pump walls.

Is there water in the reservoir that the pumps are mounted in? Its very hard to tell from the video

Yes, I filled the res with water before testing the pump

I guess I don't see a way that this couldn't be a pump issue. They are definitely NOT supposed to do that. RMAs are so annoying, hope this one goes smoothly...

Its easy to tell if it is the pumps ... take them out of the res and turn the impeller by hand. They should spin quite freely ... if there is any grinding or dragging then the impeller bearing is worn down.

Don't top up the res until the top, just put less water and try to connect them to the power again. I've got the same issue. Don't worry nothing is broken
