1.1875V or 1.2125V for Gigabyte GTX 670 WF3

Which voltage is better when overvolting this card with KGB? 1.1875 will boost to 1.2125 but would it be more stable to just set the BIOS to 1.2125 directly to avoid voltage fluctuation? This is very similar to Intel Speedstep for CPUs.

both are the same. KGB boost's to 1.2125v. I actually used both on my palit gtx 680 jet stream. used the KGB first then replaced it with another bios that directly set to 1.21v had exactly the same overclock with the two bios. both would give you the same overclock. just use what you can get to work

Not to discourage you or anything but over-volting didn't help me over clock any more than stock voltage..

Also, ive noticed no difference between forcing 2.12 and letting it scale appropriately.

not all gpu's are the same. my overclock with my gtx 680 is a boring 1200mhz on stock voltage. after the bios mod now my OC is 1264MHz. temps were the same and my power target still stayed below 100. it may not seem much but I did notice an increase in performance esp in benchmarks. who wouldn't like a free performance bump anyway not to mention it unlocked the 100% speed settings on the gpu fan

Then in that case it would just be better to let it scale appropriately by setting it to 1.1875?

Also, what if I overclock it using afterburner/precision to add offset to boost clock and then 1.1875 is not enough for that particular boost clock, that would crash it right? Wouldn't it better to let it stay at 1.2125 all the time (during boost clock event and max boost event) then?
