Acrylic / plexiglass

What is the best type of acrylic/plexiglass to use for a window? I dont want it to scratch or break. I want it to be durable. what would be the best brand/type to use? and where can i get it?

I would think plexiglass would scratch easier than acrylic. I also think acrylic would have better clarity than plexiglass when looking through it.

Either would work for a computer case window and i think (correct me if im wrong) most cases with them pre installed use plexiglass. You could find it at a local hardware store or a Home Depot and check out which suits your needs best. They would probably cut it to the correct dimensions for free also, provided your making a square window.

Scratch resistant lexan is the first to come to mind. OPTIX® Abrasion Resistant or any other quality brand with hardening coating should be well suited for the task.

Marine parts stores might have some for windshields or just look what your local hardware store has in stock.

+1 for Home Depot. Buy a whole sheet of plexi. When it gets scratched...cut another piece. Should be around $7 for a 4x3ft sheet.

its meant to be bent. and thats not something i would want on my computer. I need the window to make the side panel stronger. Not more flimsy.
